Loo Roll Bargain and I am not a machine!

I always use Asda Shades,  (they have more per roll than the others I have seen - so good value) they cost about £8.50 for 24 rolls however, today I bought 32 for a tenner lots of  people were picking them up so be quick.  I wanted to buy two lost but I had trouble carrying one.

My mum came round today and we popped over together she is going away next weekend and had been all over town to see if she could see a new top she liked.

On return home I put on a yoga dvd which I watched sadly too tired and stressed to participate, then I watched a dvd I got from the Mail a few years ago it was a relaxation meditation dvd and it sure worked,  I feel de-stressed.  It wont last long.  Work is up the air what with legal aid and there is a recession so there is a tendency to work longs hours.  I have to bill 25 per week and this week I did 32.  I went to bed last night after consuming the fudge my husband purchased to cheer me up - at an early 10 a.m.  I rose at 9.15 and felt like I had been hit by a truck.  I was at a hearing all day yesterday a final financial hearing and it was so technical my head hurt.  Oh well tis the weekend and I may have to have a little snooze in a while I did think about the piles of work on my desk back of the office after being out yesterday but I am not a machine x

16 years ago today . . .

My little baby boy died aged 11 days old.

Born premature long story.  I did try again two years later and conceived another boy he was stillborn.  Gave up after that.  The father was violent to me for 7-8 years once had a severed hand.  Anyway had to say something today couldnt let the day pass.  I get more upset by his death day that his birthday no idea why.

Heres to the future...

The King’s Speech Movie

I watched this film today. It was amazing. I must confess there were two reasons I decided to see it, 1. Colin Firth and 2. The amount of BAFTAS it received.

I know most of you will know what it was about so I wont go into it. What I thought was amazing was that Guy Pearce who starred in "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" and before that "Neighbours." His English accent was pretty good. Odd that he played the King's elder brother as I understand it he is quite afew years younger in real life.

If you are umming and arghing about going to see this film don't. It is one of the best I have ever seen. We went for a pizza beforehand - OH paid to celebrate new job - same employer, 6k payrise (life changing this is to us) and I had a 2 for 1 main meal voucher saved us £10.99. Saved half each and had them for dinner tonight.

I have been to the cinema three times this year and paid for the tickets just the once.

Valentine's Day

I don't need a day set aside to remind me to "love" my husband.  We do not usually bother with cards, meals or presents.  This year I did buy OH a card.  We also decided to go to our favourite restaurant and treat ourselves to a meal and pay half each. We both been having a hard time this last year or so.  Not that we had life threatening illnesses or anything like that just feel stressed with work.

We went out for our meal on Friday evening because our favourite restaurant has taken to increasing prices on special days - it didnt used to.

Anyway my OH went shopping over the weekend and bought the Sainsbury's valentine meal deal.  Now whilst it is lovely and includes a starter, meal side dish, desert, wine and truffles all for £15.00 I ask myself why did we try and save money only to now have two meals.  Ahh bless him he was being romantic - now who will cook it you ask - me?  Oh and who said romance was dead?

I have to add that my husband is wonderful I really do not deserve him.  He would do anything for me.  I feel blessed.

Posting with pics

I know how to upload pictures from my camera, but I see that bloggers post pics from other sources, could someone please assist me in doing the same.  Where you you get your pics?  Do you save them to your pc and then upload?

Expensive day today today - spent £50 odd pound in M and S on undies mostly matching - sad I know plus another £21.00 online.  I made sure I got free delivery to a store and £12.50 on Tshirts from Primark.  Very pleased though to get what I wanted.

A good day at last!

Not a bad day today.  Had a good day off yesterday, bought a few things from the pound shop and relaxed a bit.  I also sorted out the show cupboard.

Today I was left to work - and work hard I did.  Got home heated up dinner that I made yesterday.  Then I ordered about £10.50 worth of items from Milk and More and will get £10.00 off.  I have been wanting to do it for a while but to be honest I felt a bit guilty getting something for nothing.  However, I saw there were decent veg boxes to am bound to buy now and again so I decided they would make money out of me therefore I would order.

So thanks to my fellow bloggers for all your support lately, it really helped.  I cannot guarantee that I will not need your support again!  I would also like to make a special mention to Angela my new friend.  Somehow she found me and when I needed it spent a lot of time helping me - more I expect that she realised.  Thanks Angela x
